Music therapists are experts in shaping musical environments, but when can that skill tip into unprofessional or harmful territory? This synchronous, online, and discussion-based ethics CMTE explores the research and ethical implications underlying music therapists' ability to shape emotions and behavior. We'll learn about and practice integrating music science research into our ethical decision-making based on real-world dilemmas.
The Ethics of Musical Manipulation is approved by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) for 3 ethics credits. Instru(mental) Ed [P-230] maintains responsibility for program quality and adherence to CBMT policies and criteria.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: Full refunds are only available to learners who have canceled their registration at least 24 hours before the start of the event. Partial refunds are not provided. Instru(mental) Ed reserves the right to revoke a learner’s access to a course for any reason. Learners may file a grievance by emailing instrumental.ed@gmail.com.
